Digital Image Titling
PLEASE ensure your digital images are TITLED and include your FULL NAME as per the instructions on our website. Use only lower case characters with no spaces. Use underscore in place of spaces. eg: the_shearers_ben_jones.jpg All digital images are to be sent to [email protected] no later than 8.00pm on Sunday night (the day before the competition). The Australian Photography Photographer of the year results are out and among the finalists is Trevor Holman in the Travel category making the top 20 finalists.

Following on from the tutorial on presenting and mounting your images, if you go to the Club website and go to the resources page you will find an in depth tutorial written by Brian Halls on the intricacies of measuring and cutting your matboards.
It may also be of interest if you are looking to buy a matcutter, Logan Mat Cutters are available at B & H in New York at very reasonable prices even with freight and exchange rates taken in to account. Peter Eastway is running a series of interactive evenings of photography, inspiration and dialogue.
There are 5 evenings spread out over 5 months with each evening containing completely different material. The cost is $9.95 per session and they will be held at Dee Why RSL Club. The Sydney Harbour International with a closing date of 15th April 2018 and the Sydney International Exhibition of Photography with a closing date of 27th August 2018 are digital photographic competitions which grow every year and are entered by photographers from around the world.
They are a wonderful way to gauge your work on a world stage and to support an Australian initiative. Now is the time to get your creative hats on and think about our mini portfolio style of competition " Seeing in 6's ".
As discussed , you will be presenting 6 prints on a board no bigger than 500mm x 500mm in size that are cohesive or tell a story. They can be either monochrome or colour or a mix of both and can be different sizes. You can submit 2 sets of prints and critique night will be Monday August 13. Australia's love of the beach is the subject of an exhibition at the Australian National Maritime Museum.
Surfers, swimmers and sunbathers are the stars of a sprawling project collecting images from the 1880's to today, focussing on both traditional and contemporary beach culture and a myriad of esteemed Australian photographers including Max Dupain, Harold Cazneaux and Roger Scott.
