The Jim Mullens Award

There was stiff competition with about 150 images vying for the Jim Mullens Award for Australian Landscape at our meeting on March 7.  
The judge, Jarrod Castaing had the unenviable job of choosing a winner but David Hipsley's stunning image of the Flinders Ranges was a very popular choice.

Well done and congratulations David.

Time is running out

Most of the time when we take images we take particular care to keep our camera steady. Explore new and creative methods to capture images by moving your camera during capture. Don’t limit yourself to panning. Try combining slow shutter speeds with irregular movement, camera shake or changing the distance between camera and subject during capture. Camera movement should be the key component in creating the image, how you do it is up to you.

Portfolio Group Reminder
Our next meeting will be held on April 11 at Pittwater RSL at 7.30 pm.
​Our group is working very hard to prepare a series of images on a chosen theme to present to you at our portfolio evening on October 24.​

As some of our members (myself included) have been having issues with our Facebook page, Takis, our amazing IT person has changed the status of our page, we are now a group.
An email has been sent out to everyone detailing these changes and the steps you can take to make sure you stay current.  A copy of the PDF can be found under the Notices tab at the top of this page.​
​Even if you have 'liked' us previously, you now must go back into FB and 'Join', or you will not receive the feeds.

An amended, downloadable program with all the latest meeting info has been added to our web page, look under the 'Program' tab.

The definition for our 'Creative' comp that is coming up in April has now been added too.  See the 'Definitions' tab.
