Mike at [email protected] before 8.00 pm, November 6th Our last meetingWhat a turn out and what a show. So many people from other camera clubs, members, family and friends came to witness and admire our portfolios. In fact, yesterday at the Interclub several judges mentioned to me that they had heard our portfolios were among the BEST EVER PRESENTED by a Sydney camera Club.
Our little group worked tirelessly over the previous 8 months to achieve their stunning portfolios and the effort was well worth it. If you were not there on the night and would like to see the presentations, they can be seen on our club web site at here. November Birthday DrawOur lucky winner for October was none other than Bob Hunting. Bob won a $50 voucher to spend on consumables at Vital Peripherals or a $100 voucher to be used against a hardware purchase. Terrific prize and thanks to Vital Peripherals for their support.
We still have a few items left in our goody bag so will you be a winner? All you have to do is be present when we make the draw at one of our meetings in November. Momento Photo BooksOne of the companies presenting at the FCC Interclub yesterday was Momento. They have just launched a 'PRO' section which will be dedicated to Camera Clubs and their members. They will shortly be sending me a 'welcome pack' which will include samples of their various papers and cover materials which I will bring along to meetings so you can familiarise yourself with their products..
The first offer will allow members 30% off their first book order and then 10% of all other orders. As soon as the info arrives I will let you know how to go about taking advantage of their terrific offers. Photographic AlchemyNebuli Arts group currently have an exhibition running at
Art Space on The Concourse 409 Victoria Avenue Chatswood The exhibitors are Lyn Arnold, John Bardell, Carolyn Pettigrew and Susan Buchanan. AGMThis is an advance advice that the Annual General Meeting of Pittwater Camera Club will be held on November 21st at 7.30 pm in the Auditorium of Pittwater RSL Club.
All positions will be declared vacant. We are creating a new position of 'Program Coordinator'. This position which was part of the Secretary role is now to be a separate position. It is a role that can be undertaken in a matter of say 2 weeks or can be extended out over the coming year. There are no hard and fast rules. If you are interested and would like to help our club or would like more info please let me know. Our calendarFor all the latest things to do and places to go don't forget to refer to our club calendar which appears at the bottom of all newsletters and is also reachable via the club website.
