"CREATIVE"

Being judged by Susan Buchanan.

Our Club definition for this subject is:

"Photographic image/s used in a way to create altered reality. This may utilise novel effects or techniques such as montage / collage / triptych / mixed media. Choice of subject is unrestricted and is to be presented in an unconventional rather than usual photographic manner."

Outside sizing for prints is to be no larger than 50cm x 40cm.

Digital images are to be correctly sized and sent to [email protected] no later than 8.00pm Sunday 31st March.

The evening will start at 7.30 pm in the Pittwater RSL Club auditorium.

Digital Image Titling

PLEASE ensure your digital images are TITLED and include your FULL NAME as per the instructions on our website.
Use only lower case characters with no spaces. Use underscore in place of spaces.
eg:  the_shearers_ben_jones.jpg

All digital images are to be sent to [email protected] no later than 8.00pm on Sunday night (the day before the competition).

Epson P600 Printer Giveaway

Our presentation "Preparing Images for Printing" on Monday 15th April will be given by Derek Mobbs from Epson.
Provided we get enough people interested , Epson will present one lucky person with a P600 printer.

FCC TOP SHOT 2019
It’s that time of year for members of FCC affiliated clubs to start thinking about the images that they can enter into Top Shot this year.
The
sections that are available for entry are Colour Prints, Monochrome Prints and Nature prints. Entries will also be accepted in the following digital sections, Colour Digital, Monochrome Digital, Nature Digital, Creative Digital and Australian Landscape Digital.

h the FCC web site from the 4th of March and entries will close on Wednesday the 17th of April at 6:00PM.

The Top Shot Exhibition will be held at St George Leagues Club on Sunday the 26
th of May, and we thank St George Photographic Society for their support in hosting the event. I would encourage participants as well as other interested club members to come along to the exhibition to view the print display and projection of digital entries.
The Top Shot recipient, as well as the first, second and third place winners in each section will be announced at the exhibition.

National Portrait Gallery announces 40 finalists

The National Portrait Gallery has shared the forty finalists for the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2019.This year over 3,000 entries were received for the Prize, which is judged by National Portrait Gallery Senior Curator, Dr Christopher Chapman, artist and photographer Hoda Afshar and Curator of Photography at the National Gallery of Australia, Anne O'Hehir.

Peter Eastway Presentation

Northside Creative Photography has invited our club members to a presentation by Peter Eastway
APP-L, G.M. Photog, Hon. FAIPP, FNZIPP, FAIPP

Peter Eastway is one of Australia’s best known landscape photographers, known for his expertise in post-processing. He owns and edits Australia’s Better Photography Magazine and has published widely, including the Lonely Planet Guide to Landscape Photography. He has recently published a major book entitled “The New Tradition” which will be on sale on the night. Peter speaks nationally and internationally on landscape photography, Photoshop techniques and publishing, and will be covering all of those topics in this presentation.
