Our Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Pittwater Camera Club will be held on May 20, 2013
This will be a presentation / workshop evening and our presenter will be Janie News
The topic for the evening will be ‘My eBook’
Janie recently released an ebook, Art of My Mind, demonstrating how she produced many of her fantastic images in Photoshop. Janie will show us on the big screen how exactly she did it. You can check our Janie’s work at http://photo.net/photodb/user?user_id=4529772
I have been talking to Janie and she has asked that everyone bring along their fully charged laptops, loaded with Photoshop or Elements, so that you can work along with her. The images she is using on the night will also be provided to you.
Janie will show us how to make good selections with exercises to create layers, then refine edges and save. Then we will learn how to create a montage and finally how to add creative borders. It sounds most exciting.
Our meeting will commence at 7.45pm for an 8.00pm start
We look forward to seeing you at:

Shirley Fealy Award for Creative Photography
The winner for 2013 was our President, Peter Squires, with his beautifully crafted image of a sea breaking over a lighthouse.
The difficult task of choosing a winner from all the entries was determined by Bruce Baker.
Congratulations Peter.
Pittwater Challenge
Bruce Baker also had the unenviable task of determining the winner of the Pittwater Challenge for 2013 of ‘Missing’.
So it is congratulations to Mike West whose montage, Bruce felt, best captured the intent of the challenge.
And thank you to all our members who accepted the challenge, in 2014 we hope more of you will take up the challenge for a lot of fun.
