Our Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Pittwater Camera Club will be a presentation evening on Monday, October 27th commencing at 7.45 pm for an 8.00 pm start.
This will be a presentation evening.
The Sutherland Shire National Exhibition of Photography will be presenting to us the acceptances and winning digital images from their 2014 competition. This is a great opportunity for you to see some of the best photography from not only Australia but other countries throughout the world.
One of our members, Trevor Holman, had one of his images accepted in the Nature division - Trevor suggests we all try to enter these external comps as you just never know, you might just win.

FCC Interclub
The 2014 FCC Interclub will be held at Mosman RSL Mosman RSL, 719 Military Road, Mosman this Sunday, October 26 from 10 am. It would be really terrific if as many of our members as possible come along on the day to 'hopefully' cheer for our winners. The FCC selectors have chosen 7 images from our members to be exhibited on the day. These images rank in the top 10% of images entered from NSW clubs, so well done to those members.

The Annual Raffle
As many of you know, every year we have an Annual Raffle where members are invited to donate an item with a 'Christmas' flavour. This can be a non perishable item of food, lollies, table decorations, wine, biscuits - you get the picture. Please check expiry dates on all donations to ensure your donation will still be fresh into 2015. The maximum value of the item should be $10.00.
We will start to collect donations at our next meeting, tickets will be on sale at our Images of the Year in December.

Having worked tirelessly all year our small band of members who elected to create a portfolio for 2014 are now in the home stretch and are wishing to show you the results of their hard work.
All the portfolios will be on display for you to see on November 24th, following the AGM. We are delighted to announce that Susan Buchanan will be coming along on the night to critique all the portfolios. Susan is a driving force in camera clubs to promote member portfolios and the many benefits that participants derive from participating.
It is hoped that you will all come along to show your support and encouragement for the work of your fellow members.

Photo Ops
For a load of fun the Sydney Zombie Walk will be held on November 1, this is a great opportunity to take some really 'out there' photos.

The 18th Annual Sculpture by the Sea commences on October 23rd and continues until November 9th. Even if you don't go to take photos the 2 km walk from Bondi to Tamarama to marvel at the work by artists from all over Australia is well worth it. More info here.
