This will be a Competition Evening , the subject being Aust. Landscape / Seascape.
Our judge for this competition will be Ilona Abou-Zolof . Ilona is the President of the St. George Leagues Club Photographic Society.
I am sure it will be an interesting night and we look forward to meeting Ilona.

A reminder to all members and potential members that membership fees for calendar year 2015 are now due.
Members $40.00, Family Membership $60.00 and Students under 18 $20.00
Please see Lynda who will be at the door.At this point in time we do not have credit card facilities- so we are only able to accept cash or cheques.
You are reminded that to be eligible to enter images to our competitions you must be a financial member of Pittwater Camera Club.

Name Tags
Please everyone, can you always wear your name tag. Most of us know who you are, but our newer members do not and this is the easiest way for all of us to learn who is who.

Important Changes to Webmaster and for Submitting Digital Images to Competitions.
As from 1st March Mike Maher takes over as our Webmaster. Mikes Email address is: [email protected].
Please contact Mike for any Web Site suggestions / issues. I am sure Mike will do a great job.
Mike Fisher is our new man for you to send your Competition Digital files to, starting from our next competition, Landscape / Seascape, Mike's email is: [email protected].
Mike has requested that correctly sized Digital Files be emailed to him no latter than 9.00pm the Saturday Night before each competition.
I would like to thank Mike West for all his efforts in doing both of the above jobs over the last few years, and we will welcome him back after his world wide escapade.
If anyone else considers taking on any of these roles in the future, I can assure you your first name does NOT have to be Mike!

ensure they are in JPEG format, in sRGB colour space and downsized to 1024 pixels x 768 pixels max. Around 250 kb.
Name files with the title followed by the author's name. ie the_shearers_ben_jones.jpg. as with digital entries.

Matt Board will now only be available at our club meetings as we will be storing it at Pittwater RSL.

Calibration
Calibrating your monitor is an essential part of ensuring that the image you see on your monitor at home closely resembles what the judges and members see up on the screen on a competition night. Correct calibration also helps to ensure that your printed image closely matches what you see on your monitor.
The club has a calibrator that we lend out to members to assist with this.
Please talk to Peter, Bill or myself if you wish to borrow the calibrator.

For a donation to Pittwater Camera Club we will arrange for your logo, business address and phone number and link to your web site from various pages of the Pittwater Camera Club website, along with the same in our newsletters.
The only criteria is that you must be a financial member of Pittwater Camera Club, be a sole trader or in a partnership and we prefer you have an ABN.
Our website attracts several thousand visitors per year and our newsletter is distributed to over 100 people every two weeks.
This represents a wide coverage of prospective customers for your business for less than $1 per week.
So if you are a tradie, accountant, solicitor, shop keeper, hairdresser, beautician, window cleaner etc, and are interested in getting your business name out there to an even wider market, please contact Peter, Bill, or myself and we will go into it in a lot more detail with you.
