Our Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Pittwater Camera Club will be held on February 3, 2014
This will be a competition evening and our judge will be Mike Smythe
The subject will be ‘Open’

Our meeting will commence at 7.45pm for an 8.00pm start

It’s that time of the year again when our club membership fees fall due.
Single Member $40.00
Family $60.00
Students Under 18 $20.00
Brian will be on hand to collect your fees during our meeting on February 3.
You are reminded that to be eligible to enter images to our competitions you must be a financial member of Pittwater Camera Club.
Sign In
Please everyone when you come to a meeting it is essential that you sign the book upon arrival. Should you have an accident during the course of the evening and have not signed in you will not be covered by the FCC Insurance.
Web Page
Our web pages have been updated today and the full program for 2014 and all our competition definitions are now there for you to download.
On our web site you will find details on everything you need to know about our club, but if you think there should be something there which isn’t, send Mike an email at [email protected] (there is also a direct link from the web page).
Galleries
On our web page we will, as usual, be highlighting the awarded images from our monthly competitions in a slide show.
BUT – if you have a web site somewhere showcasing your images please let Mike know and he will provide a link to your site.
Let’s show the world just how great the photographers at Pittwater Camera Club are.

We hope you will take the time to enter for a bit of fun and the chance to win a terrific prize.
Portfolios - Reminder
For those who may be interested in taking part you are invited to a meeting on Sunday, February 2nd at 1.30 pm at Manly Leagues Club in their usual meeting rooms.
Or if you are just curious please come along – there is absolutely no obligation on you to participate.

Pieter came along last year and gave a presentation on capturing video with your DSLR.

Image Mounts
Peninsula Reflections at Warriewood very kindly supply mat boards to the club at prices that cannot be bettered anywhere. If you wish to purchase boards at any time just talk to Brian at the door.

Calibration
Calibrating your monitor is an essential part of ensuring that the image you see on your monitor at home closely resembles what the judges and members see up on the screen on a competition night. Correct calibration also helps to ensure that your printed image closely matches what you see on your monitor.
The club has a calibrator that we lend out to members to assist with this.
Please talk to Peter, Brian, Bill or myself if you wish to borrow the calibrator.
