Click for Pittwater Camera Club WebWelcome back everyone to another exciting photographic year
|
Meeting detailsAs discussed at our AGM in November we will be trialling the ''evaluation method'' which has become a very popular means in other camera clubs, of improving all aspects of your photography.
With this in mind, Mike Smyth of Lane Cove Camera Club will be coming along to discuss with us the process used at Lane Cove and the benefits to you of this method. So please come along so that you can understand what the system is all about. There will be heaps of opportunities for you to ask questions. Membership feesMembership fees are now due for 2017. The rates of memberships are:
Single Member: $50.00 Families: $70.00 Students under 19: $20.00 Please pay David on arrival on January 30th. A reminder that unfinancial members are not permitted to enter competitions. Digital Image of the Year
Girl With Shawl Sandra Smith The Year AheadWe have lots of exciting and different plans in store for 2017. This will include a fun challenge of using a disposable camera during a set period of time. This is for all members who wish to take part - and we really hope you do - details available soon.
Due to popular demand we will be holding a workshop up in the Blue Mountains with Len Metcalf. This will take place over the weekend of July 1 and 2. More info on this will be given in the next few weeks as we will be requiring registration to attend and a non refundable fee payment. We are no longer having annual trophy competitions for Australian Landscape, Creative and Nature. This in turn allows us to have 3 additional comps throughout the year for other Open or Set Subjects. The Honour Boards for all previous winners of trophies will shortly be added to our web page - so all the winners dating back to the 1960's will be there for all of us to see. MomentoOne of the sponsors of the 2016 FCC Interclub was Momento. Some of our members are already users of the photo books and calendars printed by Momento. They have now forwarded to me their Welcome Pack, which includes samples of their various papers and cover materials. I will be bringing along to the next meeting the Welcome Pack so you can all see the quality of materials used. For our members wishing to create a photo book with Momento they are offering a 30% discount to our financial members off their first order, all subsequent orders will receive a 10% discount.
