FCC Interclub
The 2014 FCC Interclub will be held at Mosman RSL Mosman RSL, 719 Military Road, Mosman on Sunday, October 26 from 10 am.  It would be really terrific if as many of our members as possible come along on the day to 'hopefully' cheer for our winners.  Our entries have now been sent into the FCC for judging, so fingers crossed that some of our members will be winners.
The programme for the FCC Interclub can be found under our Notices tab.
The Annual Raffle
As many of you know, every year we have an Annual Raffle where members are invited to donate an item with a 'Christmas' flavour.  This can be a non perishable item of food, lollies, table decorations, wine, biscuits - you get the picture.  Please check expiry dates on all donations to ensure your donation will still be fresh into 2015.
We will start to collect donations at our next meeting, tickets will be on sale at our Images of the Year in December.
I currently have two of the three large bowls that we use for the raffle, so if you have one, please return it at the next meeting.  Many thanks.
Photo Ops
The 2014 Australasian Bird Fair - October 25 - 26th, will be the first large-scale bird and wildlife event of its kind in Australasia. By all early indications it will be the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. There will be opportunities to network with like minded people and find further engagement in conservation, bird watching and other nature-related activities. The Australasian Bird Fair will have something for everyone irrespective of their level of expertise or experience in birding! Visit www.birdfair.com.au/ for more info. Nikon will, in conjunction with the Bird Fair be conducting a photographic competition, entries close October 15th, click here for rules and entry form. There are some great prizes up for grabs, including a Nikon D810 camera body valued at $3999.

The Leura Gardens Festival - October 4 - 12 - celebrating 50 years of Spring in the Blue Mountains.  More info here.

And for a load of fun the Sydney Zombie Walk will be held on November 1, this is a great opportunity to rake some really 'out there' photos.

You do not have to be a photographer to take part; you simply need to enjoy photography.

The Sydney CBD rally takes place on the Saturday 11th October. You will meet in the Foto Riesel showroom and be given your challenges for the day. You can then spend an hour or the whole day completing your challenges.  More info here.
