Our Next Meeting The next meeting of the Pittwater Camera Club will be a Competition evening on Monday, June 16th, commencing at 7.45 pm.
The subject is ‘Red’ and the definition for the competition is…
Open to your interpretation. For the monochrome section of this competition, selective red colour will be acceptable, as long as the image is predominately monochrome.
The judge for the evening will be YOU. That’s right – we are putting you in the judge’s seat allowing you to critique every image.
Merits and Credits will be awarded on the night, based on the collective scores for each image.
This promises to be a load of fun and we may have a few surprises in store for you as well.
Don’t forget – you can now find us at our new address of…

New Members
A very warm welcome to Vincent Shaw who joined our club a few weeks ago.
Thank You
We are so lucky to have a great depth of talent in our club and this was displayed at our meeting last week when John, Ruth and Mark showed us all how they go about ‘working’ an image in Lightroom.
Our President, Peter then wowed us again with his in depth working knowledge of Photoshop.
Thank you all and if any member is unclear at any time about the use of these two programmes, please put your hand up and just ask.
Our members just love to show off their knowledge.

Calibration
Calibrating your monitor is an essential part of ensuring that the image you see on your monitor at home closely resembles what the judges and members see up on the screen on a competition night. Correct calibration also helps to ensure that your printed image closely matches what you see on your monitor.
The club has a calibrator that we lend out to members to assist with this.
Please talk to Peter, Brian, Bill or myself if you wish to borrow the calibrator.
